Ukraine, like many other countries, is going through an era of digital transformation, where innovative technologies are becoming an integral part of all spheres of society. In this context, digital literacy skills are becoming key for citizens of all age groups. Therefore, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine launched the “Diya.Osvita” project, the initial goal of which was to teach millions of Ukrainians digital literacy. Now it is expanding and providing citizens with the opportunity to learn new professions online, which, in turn, increases awareness and diversification of the population.
In 2019, digital literacy of citizens officially became a state priority with the project "Diya. Digital Education". And already in February 2020, the Ministry of Digital Transformation on page seo service launched the national online platform "Diya. Digital Education" , where educational series aimed at developing digital skills became available. More than 50 such series were created in the same year. The first national test for digital literacy "Tsifrogram" was also introduced.
According to a survey conducted by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation in 2021, only 53% of Ukrainians had a basic level of digital literacy skills, 15.1% of citizens did not have these skills at all, and 37.9% had a low level of competence in this area. This is a serious obstacle to the development of innovation and competitiveness of Ukraine in the global digital market. Therefore, the Ministry of Digital Transformation has taken on the task of developing the "Diya.Education" project and providing citizens with the opportunity to gain new knowledge for their own self-development.
This year, the Ministry of Digital Transformation presented an updated project "Diya.Education", which opens the doors to the world of new professions and skills for all Ukrainians who want it. It allows our citizens to master more than 50 different professions for free with the help of 50 new educational series and 50 simulators. In addition, an English-language adaptation of the platform has been added.
